We are the family and friends of Blaine Hagedorn, who was diagnosed with colitis as a teenager and diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer at 38. Blaine underwent a year of intense treatment as a patient of MD Anderson in Texas and the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

Standing by Blaine’s side during the most trying time of his life, we saw that the very last thing that anyone in his shoes should be worried about is money and whether they have the funds to receive the proper treatment.

We are committed to helping other colon cancer patients, as well as supporting ongoing research for colitis and colon cancer, in honor of Blaine and his vibrant life.

Blaine Hagedorn Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity foundation.

We raise money to help patients of colon cancer with the financial load of care, treatment, travel, lodging, and any other additional therapy that is needed.

In addition, we raise money in order to donate to the ongoing research on colitis and colon cancer. For example, colitis researchers are currently working on creating sensors that can detect inflammation before symptoms even appear and colon cancer researchers are continuously improving early screening techniques.

We strive to alleviate the financial stress of colon cancer patients so they can focus on their physical and emotional health, as well as support the ongoing research that will help deter colitis and colon cancer from affecting more lives.
